Cancellation policy

Before anything is booked

The design fee is refundable in full within 14 days of your first quote, as long as you have not asked us to book anything. Ask your designer or use the contact form and it is processed within three working days.

After bookings are confirmed

Each supplier sets its own terms and every one of them is listed on your quote before you accept it. As a rule of thumb across our network:

• More than 60 days out: most hotels refund in full, some hold a one night charge
• 30 to 60 days out: typically 50 percent of accommodation is held
• Under 30 days: most accommodation and all guide fees are non-refundable
• Park permits, such as gorilla trekking, are non-refundable from the moment they are issued

If we cancel

If Mera cancels a trip for any reason within our control, you get everything back including the design fee, and we cover any change fee you have already paid elsewhere.

Moving a trip instead

Shifting dates is almost always cheaper than cancelling. Your designer will re-price the trip and tell you the exact difference before you commit.
